Charles D. Leviton, EdD a retired professor at Orange Coast College, where he taught Intro to Guided Imagery and Marriage & Family Life. A licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and certified hypnotherapist, Leviton has been successfully using imagery for over 40 years in his teaching and private practice. Leviton is past president and current board member of the American Association for the Study of Mental Imagery and is also a diplomat of the American Psychotherapy Association. He is the author of the book"There is No Bad Truth, The Search for Self. Together with his wife, Patti, they provide a full certification program to train both professionals and laypersons to become guided imagery therapists. Their office is in Palm Springs, CA, and they devote their full energies to traveling the entire country speaking and facilitating their certification program. Dr. Leviton has presented keynote addresses to such organizations as The American Association for the Study of Mental Imagery, and workshops with the National Institute for the Clinical Application of Behavioral Medicine, and the American Psychotherapy Association. Also, the Levitons have written "The Conflict Between Us is the Conflict Within Me." A book about using imagery as a tool in achieving healthy relationships, as well as "Inner Peace - Outward Power." A book incorporating the use of guided imagery with any 12 step program of recovery. .
